What is Ustaz Finder?


The idea to create this one-stop platform for Islamic services all began after hearing our friends and families’ struggle to find an Ustaz/Ustazah for specific services. Because we know that it’s not easy to find the right Astizah for the services you need, we decided to solve this crucial, yet unaddressed problem. Our aim is to provide easy and accessible services to our Muslim community through tech solutions, whilst empowering the Asatizah community and dignifying their Islamic dakwah process in Singapore.




How to book for an Asatizah service?


You can book for a service on our website, under ‘Our Services’ section. You may also browse through our Found Asatizah and book them based on the services they provide and their availability. Please note that you will need to sign up in order to complete the booking.




Are all the Asatizah ARS Certified?


Yes, all Asatizahs registered on our platform are QTRS or ARS certified! You will be able to see their qualifications and ARS status by cliking the ‘Our Asatizah’ section on top.




Is Ustaz Finder mainly for Ustaz (a male religious teacher)?


Contrary to its name, Ustaz Finder is a platform for both Ustaz and Ustazah (a female religious teacher)! See our list of found Asatizah!




What services does Ustaz Finder provide?


We currently offer the four most-wanted services during Shawwal. However, we will be introducing more services soon, so stay tuned! Our aim is to provide ALL Islamic services in our platform and cater to the religious needs of the Muslim community in Singapore.




Why should I use Ustaz Finder?


We want you to try Ustaz Finder because it is Transparent, Accessible and Secure. Here’s why:

  • Our service fee is transparent. We tell you how much goes to Asatizahs and how much we charge to maintain our platform.
  • Our platform has many experienced Asatizahs, who provide a wide range of services. You are able to see Asatizah’s photo and qualifications. At the same time, you can book for any service you need, for any occasions.
  • Our platform has an easy booking system. Simply click ‘book’ to arrange for a service, and you are able to integrate bookings with Google Calendar.
  • Our payment method is secure. We use Stripe to make sure your bank details and credit cards are safe.
  • Our customer service team will care for you. In the event of any issues, chat with us. Our team is here to resolve them!




Can I reschedule my appointment?


Yes, you can! Log in and go to 'My Bookings'. Simply select the booking you'd like to reschedule and proceed with the next steps. Please note our Cancellation Policy before proceeding with rescheduling or cancellation. Drop us a chat or an email (ustazfinder@gmail.com) if you encounter any problems.




Can I cancel my appointment?


Yes, you can! Log in and go to 'My Bookings'. Simply select the booking you'd like to cancel and click on the dropdown menu next to the 'reschedule' link and select cancel.




Can I book a service with the same Ustaz/Ustazah I had previously received services from?


Subject to Ustaz/Ustazah’s availability, you will be able to make an appointment with the same Ustaz/Usatazah. If you are experiencing any difficulty, feel free to use the chat function at the left bottom of our platform to speak with our Customer Service team!




Can I tip the Asatizah?


We aim to provide a fair and competitive pricing on Ustaz Finder for all of the services provided by our Asatizah. Our Asatizah have studied Islamic Studies since primary school in their respective Madrasahs and should be compensated fairly for their time and effort. However, If you are satisfied with Asatizah’s service, we encourage you to tip them for their hard work. This will help to empower the Asatizah community and dignify their Islamic dakwah process!

Where can I give my feedbacks?


We'll be sending feedback forms after the completion of booked services to both the Finder and the Ustaz/Ustazah. Can I change my Ustaz/Ustazah?


If you are not satisfied with our Asatizah service, please email us at ustazfinder@gmail.com with your contact information. We will try to reschedule your service with another Asatizah.




What is your Cancellation Policy?


Please read the below cancellation policy carefully. If you have any questions about this Cancellation Policy, please contact us at ustazfinder@gmail.com. 1. Cancellation by Finders We value our Asatizah’s time and service. Therefore, we charge a penalty fee to Finders if they cancel a service that occurs within 24 hours of their notice. Below provides how much penalty fee is charged: - Cancellation at least 24 hours in advance: No penalty fee is incurred. - Cancellation at least 4 hours in advance: 25% of the original service price is charged as penalty. - Cancellation within 4 hours: 50% of the original service price is charged as penalty. - No show: 100% of the original service is charged as penalty. 2. Cancellation by Asatizah Finder’s rights are important and we want to compensate our Finders if the connected Asatizah did not commit to completing their service. The following is our compensation for cancellation by Asatizah: - Cancellation at least 24 hours in advance: Reschedule service with the same or new Ustaz/ah - Cancellation at least 4 hours in advance: Reschedule service with the same or new Ustaz/ah + 10% discount coupon - Cancellation within 4 hours: Reschedule service with the same or new Ustaz/ah + 15% discount coupon - No show: Reschedule service with the same or new Ustaz/ah + 25% discount coupon 3. Late Shows: If Finders show up late, then they will receive the service with the remaining scheduled time only. If Asatizah show up late, then they will have to complete the full service time. If any disputes arise, please chat with us via our website or send an email at ustazfinder@gmail.com. 4. How It Works: Log in and go to 'My Bookings'. Simply select the booking you'd like to cancel and click on the dropdown menu next to the 'reschedule' link and select cancel. Please note our Cancellation Policy before proceeding with rescheduling or cancellation.
If the Finder wants to reschedule but a penalty fee is incurred due to late cancellation, we ask the Finder to clear up the penalty fee before we can proceed to reschedule. We will send a payment link to the Finder via email. Drop us a chat or an email (ustazfinder@gmail.com) if you encounter any problems. 5. Frequently Asked Questions a. Do you offer a refund? We offer rescheduling service for any cancellation requests. If rescheduling is not possible, we will credit the amount back into your UF account for future use. b. What if I have to cancel because of an emergency? For unforeseen events that are beyond your control, unexpected illness or injury, we will offer rescheduling service or credit back into your UF account free of penalty charge. When you request for emergency cancellation, please provide sufficient document(s) as evidence. c. Can Finders ask for a refund if they are not satisfied with Asatizah service? Finders should contact us within 24 hours of completing the service. We’ll help Finders find a new ustaz/ah or credit the full amount back to their UF account if the ustaz/ah failed to deliver the service s/he promised.




How much does Ustaz Finder charge for platform fee?


We want to make sure that our Asatizah are fairly compensated and that the Islamic Dakwah industry is transparent. Hence, we charge a small fee (7%) to maintain our platform, besides the transaction fee (3.4% + 50 cents) charged by Stripe. So this is how the calculation goes: You pay $100 for an Asatizah service. Stripe charges $3.9 for a secure transaction. We charge $7 for platform maintenance. Finally, $89.1 goes to Asatizah.

What is Ustaz Finder?


Ustaz Finder is a one-stop platform that provides all Islamic services in Singapore. We aim to empower the Asatizah community and dignify their Islamic dakwah process in Singapore, while providing more ease and accessibility to the lay Muslim community with tech solutions.




Where can I register to be part of the Ustaz Finder Asatizah?


You can complete this form. When you fill in, make sure to include a short bio describing your skills and experience, as well as your profile photo. They will be uploaded on our website for our Muslim community to see!




What is the minimal requirement for me to register?


The minimal requirement to join our Atatizah network is to be certified in QTRS or ARS.




Do I conduct all my Islamic classes online?


Classes can be offered both online and offline. When you submit your registration form, you can select which form of classes you can conduct.




How does Ustaz Finder register Asatizahs? Does Ustaz Finder require Asatizahs to sit for an interview?


Ustaz Finder does not require Asatizahs to sit for an interview! However, a review of your Asatizah registration will be made upon submission.




How long does it take for me to become part of the Asatizah network following registration submission?


We will try to review your application as soon as possible. Usually, we will review and confirm your registration within a couple of days.




If my application is rejected, how do I appeal?

Is Ustaz Finder mainly for Ustaz (male religious teacher)?

If I have a full-time job, can I still join Ustaz Finder?


Yes you can! Simply sync your Google calendar with Ustaz Finder's after submittingAsatizah registration form (we'll send you a link!) and we will match service requests from customers based on your availability.




Can I recommend this to a foreign Asatizah who holds a relevant degree but does not have an ARS certificate?


Unfortunately, we currently accept Asatizahs who are certified in Singapore. However, we are working hard to extending foreign Asatizahs to our network soon, so stay tuned!




Can I register but not commit my service to Ustaz Finder as I'm busy at the moment?


Yes it is absolutely fine! You can contact us when you are ready to offer services. However, we encourage our Asatizahs to remain active on our platform due to high demand of services.
